Trip Schedule ...
Dear All:
Thank you to all who worked to make
the Disney trip such a success! All the
boosters and parents who helped raise money
and chaperone the events, all the parents,
teachers, and faculty who made it possible,
and to the students who made it a truly
delightful time. It was really fun all
the way around! I am proud to be associated
with a great organization of healthy, happy
students who performed so admirably in
concert and who behaved so well in the
public eye. I feel that our future is in
good hands with students like our Mighty
Viking Band and Color Guard.

Trip Schedule ...
Hello again everyone,
Mr. Carder got the schedule for the Festival.
To our surprise we are scheduled to perform
at 1 pm on Thursday. As you know we had moved
our schedule to leave on Thursday night so
that we could stay for the Awards ceremony
on Saturday evening but didn't have to change
the price of the trip and make it any more
expensive than it has become. Mr. Carder called
the Festival Disney people and begged for them
to schedule us for a different day however
they could not do so. Our only choice was to
move the trip back to the original schedule
of leaving on Wednesday night so that we could
arrive in Orlando early enough to make our
performance time. In order to not have to pay
for another nights lodging we have decided
to stay for the Awards and leave immediately
after so that we will arrive home on probably
around noon on Sunday.

Reminder
for Trip Payments ...
This is just a reminder that if you chose
to make installment payments for the Orlando
trip, the first payment
of $200 is due on Friday, January 25, 2008. If you are planning
on paying in full and
receiving the 5% discount (making the payment
$570) the money needs
to be turned in prior to January 25, 2008.
VERY IMPORTANT - If
you are planning on coming on the trip as a
tag-along, I need to know
tonight because I have to give a room count
to the Resort on Wednesday morning. After
this is done there will be absolutely no
changes made. If you are going as a tag-along
all money is due upfront. Feel free to contact
me with any questions. Just in case it hasn't
been released before the price includes the
following:
Bus transportation to and from Orlando
2 nights accomodations at Port Orleans Resort
- Riverside (on Disney)
2 breakfast, 3 lunch, and 2 dinner meal tickets
3 day park hopper tickets

Spring
Concert Trip Info/Sign-up ...
All:
Below is a message composed by Jen
Fox, chaperone
committee chairperson, regarding the Spring Concert
trip to Orlando. For
all people who want to join the traveling
squad as full-paying "tag-alongs," please turn in your completed
commitment form (attached) no later than next Tuesday, 15 JAN 08. Next Tuesday the traveling
list will be locked, with minimal room for changes possible only under extreme,
extenuating circumstances. See Jen's note for further explanation.

Hello everyone,
In case you missed the Band Booster Meeting this past Thursday night, here
is some new information about the Orlando/Disney trip in March.
We had to make a slight change to the dates. Instead of leaving on Wednesday
the 12th in the evening we will now be leaving on Thursday
the 13th around 7 pm and returning around 9 am on Monday the 17th. We have finalized the
price of the trip at $600. As a reminder for those who choose to make the
payments instead of paying in full by January 25th, the payments
are as follows: January 25th payment of $200, February 8th payment of $250,
February 29th
payment of $125. We have set the number of chaperones need at 10 - 5 male,
5 female. Unfortunately most of those positions have already been filled,
but we may need a few alternate folks. If you are interested in putting your
name in as an alternate please let me know.
We will have room for a limited number of tag-alongs
who will pay the full price of the trip -- $600 per person -- which is due
on the payment day of
January 25th. Because space is limited the slots will be filled on a first
pay, first serve basis. Please let me, Tom Sands, or Mr. Carder know if you
are interested.
We are planning a mandatory information night for the parents of any student
who is attending this trip. This meeting will also be mandatory for any tag-alongs
and chaperones attending. Once the auditorium is reserved, we will send out
another email letting you know when the meeting is (we are looking at mid
